Kenny Scharf and the Whitney Museum Youth Insights Program
Posted by KateRenowned artist Kenny Scarf created our seventh and final installation on the Meatpacking Guild wall. Teens from The Whitney’s Youth Insights participated in a spray painting workshop with the artist and transformed the wall into a whimsical color-filled installation.

Dan Colen and the Whitney Museum Youth Insights Program
Posted by KateContemporary artist Dan Colen was the next artist to do an installation on the Guild Wall. His OH GOD! black and white graphic was inspired by his highly acclaimed show at Trash at the Gagosian Gallery. The start black and white graphic was literally transformed through the Youth Insights workshop. Teens used found objects collected around the Guild wall dipped in paint to create a live collage on the Guild wall.

Partnership with The Whitney Museum of American Art
Posted by KateDetails announced our new Guild partnership with the Whitney Museum of American Art and their Youth Insights program with an installation by the artists Mario Ybarra Jr. and Karla Diaz during The Whitney Museum Community Day on May 14th. Youths from the program workshopped at the wall with the artist who created a limited-edition tee-shirt and print to raise additional funds for the cause.

FIAT Guild Event
Posted by KateDetails and FIAT celebrated the arrival of the iconic Italian automobile brand with a night of live art installations. Individual pieces of a deconstructed FIAT 500 served as the canvases for artists Meres One, Francesco Longenecker, Bisco and Korakrit. Guests packed the temporary FIAT Gallery at 18 Wooster in NYC to enjoy cocktails, food, and beats from DJ Mia Moretti.

In monsoon weather, over 150 fashionable and arty guests attended the event including notables Dan Peres, Italo Zucchelli, Amy Sacco, Jamie Burke, and artists Jeremy Kost and Joachim Johnson.

Slater Bradley Wall Installation Video
Posted by KateContemporary artist Slater Bradley created a breath taking mural on the Details Guild wall in conjunction with his Shadow show at the Whitney Museum of American Art with famed cinematographer Ed Lachman. The film took its inspiration of the unfinished Hollywood film Dark Blood (1993), which was never completed due to the untimely death of its star, River Phoenix.
