DETAILS @ MIDNIGHT CHICAGO WITH OUTASIGHT
Posted by EmilyDETAILS @ MIDNIGHT MEETS THE MIDWEST
On March 31, the DETAILS @ Midnight performance series made its first-ever stop in Chicago. The surprise performer, Outasight, took the energy to a high point as he invited the crowd to dance on stage with him at Wicker Park’s Debonair Social Club. After lining up around the block in anticipation, guests sipped on cocktails from Patrón and on Bud Light Platinum, crowded the retro photo booth, and danced until dawn to the beats of DJ 6th Sense.

Dan Colen and the Whitney Museum Youth Insights Program
Posted by NigelContemporary artist Dan Colen was the next artist to do an installation on the Guild Wall. His OH GOD! black and white graphic was inspired by his highly acclaimed show at Trash at the Gagosian Gallery. The start black and white graphic was literally transformed through the Youth Insights workshop. Teens used found objects collected around the Guild wall dipped in paint to create a live collage on the Guild wall.

MADE IN THE U.S.A.
Between heritage brands and artisanal upstarts, made-in-the-U.S.A. products are having quite a moment, and Hickoree’s Hard Goods rounds up the best-from Wolverine boots, The Hill-Side ties, and Portland General Store colognes to Solmate Socks, Master Mfg. Co. doorstops, and Hart’s Heritage tomato seeds. They carry some well-loved foreign goods too (including the colorful but classic British line Folk)-and their finds are finally available offline at the swanky store located below their Williamsburg office.
