ART OBSESSION: STEREOTYPE NYC
Posted by KirbyWhat do Aretha Franklin, Kiss, and Iggy Pop have in common? They all have taken a liking to the diverse style that Stereotype NYC has to offer in designing their album art. Designer Mike Joyce is the mastermind behind Stereotype and has worked to redesign vintage punk, hardcore, new wave, and indie rock show flyers into these international typographic style posters we love.
And good news: you can now take advantage of Joyce’s creative edge by putting up one of these striking posters in your home adding vibrant color to any whitewashed wall. And if that wasn’t enough, make sure to check out Joyce’s new book Swissted – a perfect piece for your coffee table!

NEW MUSIC: CHVRCHES
Posted by KirbyWe’re constantly looking for new tunes here at the DETAILS office and CHVRCHES is the latest act to catch our ear. The Scottish synth-pop trio has signed with Glassnote Records, a label known for bands like Phoenix, Givers, Mumford and Sons, etc. We’ve seen all the aforementioned acts and there if there is one thing owner Daniel Glass knows, it’s how to pick a stellar live act.
Check out “Recover” and ”The Mother We Share” and stayed tuned for an upcoming EP release on March 26th.

BWGH Dip-dyed Sweater S/S '13
Dodgeball anyone?? No??
Anyway, BWGH (Brooklyn We Go Hard) has become one of our latest obsessions over here at DETAILS. Fortunately for us, the Paris-based label has recently release some shots from their Spring/Summer 2013 look book and we couldn’t be more excited about the collection. Maybe it’s because the model is leading the life we dream of – jaunting around Europe, driving luxe boats, and mentoring some sort of little league soccer program. Or, maybe its because some of these pieces are just plain gorgeous (see color-blocked, suede bomber). Either way, we’re loving it and think you should too. Head on over to their tumblr for more shots from the look book.
